Except for holidays & my People magazine, it's rare that anything of interest arrives via snail mail. TODAY...your postcard from Malaysia! Thanks so much. Come December, I'll be able to say that I've been around the world twice, vicariously, thanks to you & Allison.

Ben,

This is a great opportunity for you. You are officially further away from the US than I have been in my entire life. (which is not as significant as little swink's entire life.) make sure you take a hockey stick with you on your day trip to the top of Everest. Shoot a puck and see if you can hit Ice Line. I can't wait to hear all about this adventure when you get back. Say hi to Gandolf for me.

Love you always... Sandy!

Hey! Just checking in....Don't know if you get to check this or not. Got your email for Pey's birthday...thanks for thinking of him. We took him to Hooters for his birthday....the girls loved him. And yes, of course, he loved them as well.

Well, looks like this message board is not used much. I heard from Ben this afternoon from South Africa. The weather was cloudy pulling into port and Table mountain was difficult to see. He was disappointed none of us answered the phone this morning at 6:45. I was in the shower and claire said callerID said unknown. He is 6 hours ahead of us now. He was going on a township tour thisafternoon. FDP means they must go on a trip with the professor.

I had so much fun visualizing you putting on clothes from your bag to make it under 11pounds!!I hope you have the plasic bag to put your camera in so the humidity doesn't interfere with the function. Wonder wht kind of natural habitat you may be eating on your trip down the Amazon. Hope you remember to bring the "cure all" back from the rainforest!! Love Mom

Hi Ben! I've been watching the weather with mommy and we hope you aren't having too rough of waters. Mommy said I must think I'm on the ship with you because I am starting to walk and it looks like I'm on a ship since I'm walking funny. She better watch out, because soon she'll have trouble keeping up. Hope you have fun!

Great to hear from you on the phone from Puerto Rico today. You sound the same, I am wondering how you will be different when you get home 105 days from now.

There are 676 students from 245 colleges and universities on the ship. wow

Hi Ben,

We are wondering if the ocean is rough or not and how you are feeling. I was imagining you standing on the ship waiting and waiting for it to leave. Enjoy your voyage!! Love Mom and Dad
