Bay Of Islands, New Zealand

After leaving Auckland we picked up our campervan and headed up to the Bay of Islands. We arrived at about 6 pm and straight away set about getting the bbq up and the meat cooking. I awoke the next morning slightly too close to Joel (the guy im spending the next month in the same bed as) and there was only one thing that could help. A good cup of tea. After cooking some breakfast we headed down to board a ferry to show us around the Bay of Islands. The weather suddenly brightened up and we headed to see the "hole in the rock" before we spent lunch on a desserted island, the scenary was absoulutely breath taking! After lunch we got back on the boat and started trying to track down some dolphins. 2 hours later we got lucky and came across a "pod" of about 15 dolphins. They swam and jumped all around the boat it was an unbelievable experience. Unfortunately we werent able to get in and swin with them but seeing them in the ocean was awesome. Where now about to drive up the couple oif hours to 90 mile beach and set up camp there, if its anywhere near as breathtaking as the time we have had today i will be a very happy man.

Hope everyone is ok
