Hey everyone
Today was our final day in Brisbane!
After waking up and having breakfast Christina when back to bed. She had been feeling really tired later so Alex thought it would be best to let her sleep and he finished a sudoku. Christina then woke up around lunchtime and decided on their last day they should really see some sights.
First we went to the City Hall, an impressive building, and went to the small museum, which was actually more like an art gallery. Then we went up the clock tower in a rickety lift that looked 100 years old, taking us inside the clock and then to the viewing platform. Christina was scared that the bells would ring and deafen her so it was only a quick journey. From the tower we saw a park and this is where we had our lunch.
Next we went to Anzac Square, a war memorial for all the soldiers that have died in the world wars. There was an enternal flame burning in the middle of the memorial, and the park around it was lovely.
Christina started to feel weak and tired so we started the long journey back, stopping off to get some paracetamols at the supermarket. Here alex found a huge cake with icing and cream and sprinkles and everything you could imagine - the best bit being it was reduced to a mere four dollars (from ten!), so we bought it and Alex's face beamed. We also bought a cheesecake (also reduced) and headed back to the hostel. Christina feel asleep again but Alex started eating his favourite cake (with cup of tea) and loved every second. That night we had dinner, and several puddings later we went off to bed. Xxx
