Iwaki, Japan

We caught a train right after work and got into Iwaki at about 10pm. We arrived in Iwaki and met up with Brittney, dropped off our gear and then headed to meet the AEON teacher in Iwaki that Britt had tracked down and headed out for our very drunken night of karaoke.. All you can drink booze paired with singing until 3am can be dangerous. But it was one of the best nights I've had in a while. If anyone hasn't seen the videos, you seriously need to check that s*** out. It makes my life complete. We hit up the 7-11 for more booze, and took the party to my apartment. After a couple broken doors and the sunrising... we called it quits at about 6am.

The next day was completely full of laziness. We got up around 1pm. Headed over to the grocery store to buy the necessary items for making a hangover breakfast. My stomach hated me afterwards, but it was so good. We made pancakes, eggs, hash browns, with bananas, pineapple, and strawberries. YUM. We let that digest, watched some SNL and other comedians while freshening up. Then we decided to go for a walk, which lead us to stumbling across the bowling alley. We then bowled a couple of games, had fun scoring plenty of strikes and spares and took a while to warm up and then we grabbed some supper, and watched another movie and went to bed.

The next morning we headed to Hawaiians. Iwaki is famous for it's onsens and Hawaiians is a fairly big water park heated at a constant 28C with a swimming pool, water slides, steam rooms, and different types of onsens. I felt like I had gone home and the heat was beautiful, although I definately need to buy another swimsuit -- I have lost too much weight in Japan! But sitting in the pools and onsens and chatting for hours was great --- It was really relaxing. Almost too relaxing. I think we were all dead to the world by the end of it. We finished the night off with some delicious ramen and we caught the last train back home to Tsuchiura and headed home for a late night of chores for the week!
