Dear Paul

Halfway through my Vietnam holiday my camera broke. Do you remember how it broke when the flash wouldn't come on at xmas time and you were able to fix it? What is your secret?

Just wanted to let everyone know I'm having a week long beer detox (for the duration of our stay in Scotland until we reach Tallinn when of course I will have to resume beer drinking because we are going to a beer festival!) I think my liver and bladder is quite happy with me at the moment.

Note: This detox does not include other alcohol, I have been trying to develop a taste for scotch whisky but to no avail!

Those last couple of blogs really brought back memories from my trip last year. mainly the food. They have tasty Burek in Hungary too (pun all you like) and the Montenegro BBQ's - too much oil is never enough

Sin chow! Or rather hello in vietnamese. Unfortunately I amnot at work right now, where you could rely on me having nothing better to do than research the origins of the balkins war for you. But i do remember from grade 10 history that the balkans was 'the powder keg of europe' so try dropping that in a sentence and nod knowledgeably along with the locals as they agree with your historical statement :)

I'm sick of reading your damn blogs and getting more jealous - thankfully I've got excess leave and looks like I may be o/s in 08 so you're giving me inspiration. Paul, the Hawks said don't come back, they're winning and ur tipping is better from Europe!!

Hey Dax,

The t-shirt is refering to a rooster, nothing sexual ;-) - and it's cool.

Did u see how small her beers were though...

Paul that t-shirt is a bit of a shocker Aussie Cock! Nice....and as for that cheese fondu, i bet the first 5-10 went down a treat and then the gut ache started!! Loved the Ferrari shots and switz looks awesome. Cinque Terra was one of the few places i missed (due to time) in Italy, looks so beautiful, continue to enjoy, don't let Zilla get too many beers up on you...i'm noticing her 4 on the table to your one in the hand - what's going on there?

Hi.

Thanks for the tip Brad, we went to Chamonix for a day trip but there was too many clouds to go up Mount Blanc.

Hmm yum cheesecake...

Annecy was very pretty, didn't realise it was supposed to be the prettiest place on earth tho, would've paid more attention!

Must go visit canberra to see those statues Lou!

In case anyone cares i've been very sick the past 3 days, am just starting on solids again, some yummy dry bread!

Hi Zilla and Paul - it all sounds so amazing - I've heard that Annecy is the prettiest placeon earth - can't believe you've been there- but where haven't you been! We are fine -I sent you an e-photo fromTimes Square but had the wrong address so perhaps you'll forget what we look like. All well here - we are in Schenectady with Carrie - out to dinner with the Union crowd tonight then back to NYC. XX

I had a dinner party on Saturday night, made too much food and subsequently there is an entire black forest cheesecake left over that is still sitting in the fridge.  Wads and I were talking about who we know who likes cheesecakes and your name kept coming up.  Isn't that sad that we don't have any other friends who like cheesecake.  Still, I believe I am up to the challenge of eating the whole thing while I watch the live nominations tonight.  Oh, by the way, Kate the mole got evicted.  Yess!

Hey, Sorry to everyone I haven't emailed back but internet is soooo expensive in Switzerland and there is no such thing as free wifi at hostels!  Will get back on it once we arrive in Rome. xx

G'day guy,
Looks like your have a great time. You've got some of the same photos i've got, from last year. Not sure where you're heading to next, but the best place i went to was a place in France called Chamonix, Mount Blanc, Highest mountain in europe, plenty of camping, shop around. Also the north west of France, really good. Have fun guys, it is so much cheaper camping in Eastern Europe and, like in Rome, the campsites are better, pools, spas, nightclubs. Brad
