I am currently in Canterbury working at Kent University. Canterbury is probably my favourite English city so far. It has a lovely European feel and lots of history. The main city is surrounded by a brick wall and the cathedral is absolutely magnificent. Best of all, they turned on the Christmas lights last weekend which make the city look even prettier. I must say, something just feels right about looking at all the lights and christmas decorations in the streets while all rugged up in the cold night air. Mind you, I've probably just been watching too many Hollywood movies!
I'm off to Switzerland next week. We start in Geneva which is French speaking...the language barrier is already proving to be a problem so it could all end in disaster! Keep your fingers crossed for me ;)
