Kenilworth, Queensland

Moved on from Noosa about 15 minutes down the coast to a samll town called Maroochydore. Its pretty similar to Noosa with all the inland waterways. we hired some bikes and cycled further down the coast to a really pretty place called Mooloolaba, drank some coffee and cycled back.

Rich is turning into an Aussie bloke more and more by the day. In addition to the long messy, sun bleached hair (sometimes in a ponytail), the earring (how gay?!), and the stained muscle man vests, he bought a pair of Crocs which he lives in. But he can never remember what they are called and keeps calling them 'Frogs'. And being a builder he's in with the Aussie mens men straight away. The accent can be a problem though sometimes.........

We are staying a a tiny town called Kenilworth at the moment. Its a proper small country town, even smaller than 1770. We are working at a didjeridoo workshop here. We started making didj's but the last few days ive been labouring for rich while he does bits of building work. The labouring is actually much easier work compared to carving and sanding didj's!

Looking forward to getting back to the bigger towns and cities as its pretty old fashioned (sexist) here. Men graft and women stay at home, cook, clean and have babies. From what i have seen the men generally dont even talk to women on the same level so that has been a bit of a shock. Rich is always trying his hardest to get me included in stuff but it generally doesnt happen.

We had a day off yesterday and went out and about. Visited some more really old towns: Cooroy, Maleny and Montville. Saw the Glasshouse Mountains and Kondalilla Falls. We went to the Maleny cheese factory and ate loads of cheese. Then went and ate cakes in Montville for lunch.

Saying good bye to the family who we stayed with in kenilworth for a week. Now going back to maroochydore for 3 day, where we did not do much, because it was raining.

Moving on to Brisbane to stay with a friend. We have been out with some of sandys friends for a meal, it was nice. Looking for jobs at the moment had one job which was good, working at a stadium been a runer,(beer boy)for the V.I.P BOXES, fully enjoyed it.
