Bali, Indonesia

After a very long 14 hour flight to singapore we had to stay in the airport for 6 hours before we jetted off to bali, the airport was fantastic very big and lots to do! they even had bed lounger type thinks in a quiet zone were you could sleep so that was great as we were there at 2am! We had a very funny encounter in the toilets as i just walked in thinking they would be normal toilets but i walked in to find a toilet pan on the floor with a mini shower that you use instead of toilet paper! i was horrified but me and danielle have never laughed so much in our lives! then we were brushing our teeth and a women walked in toilet cubicle and made some very strange and disgusting noises so that made us laugh even more so we had to run out of loo!

We arrived in Bali and we went straight to a place called Sanur! Sanur is a very lovely, quite and traditional place with lots of nice beaches, restaurants and traditional buildings and churches. We arrived early in the morning so went straight to the pool to catch up on some sleep after a very long 16 hours of travelling. We then went to explore the village and try out some tradional food which is mainly rice and noddles dishes. We decided that sanur was a little bit quiet so one day was enough there so ventured on to a place called Kuta Beach which is the main resort in Bali.

Kuta beach is a crazy crazy place with an array of bars, restaurants, shops and nightclubs. So as you can imagine we have been out most nights dancing and crawling in and silly times as there is nothing really else to do here (lame excuse i know) but true in this instance. The beach is amazing in kuta and it has the most beautiful sunset i have ever seen so most night at about 6pm me and dan go and sit on the beach to watch the sun go down. One thing we really find annoying here is the way you get hassled by everybody to buy jewerly, food, drink, massages and some other random things and also the kids and mother with babies begging for money.

Kuta is a nice place but spoilt by too many people and a crazy nightlife, so are time is done here.We are gonna stay in Kuta for one more day then venture on to Ubud were we start our 8 day trekking trip.
