Hey,
Well we arrived in Kuala Lumpur safe and sound after an hour long flight which has got to be our best journey yet!! Kuala Lumpur is an amazing city and you can really tell there is british influence here as half the signs etc are written in English. Everyone has been really lovely and happy to help and food was very good! We have had noodles and dim sum both nights whcih was really tasty but costs about 2 pounds each for the whole meal!!
Have lots to say about the last few days so will try and cut it all down a bit!!
We decided the best way to see evrything in only 2 days was to get the "hop on hop off" which is literally what it's called, taking us on a tour round the whole city and allowing us to.. you've guessed it, hop on and hop off!!
We walked acorss the sky bridge linking the twin towers that you can see in the pictyure whcih was amazing - I think you would have hated it Dad!! At the base is the most amazing shopping centre, and hidden in a small corner was the most wonderful sight I could have hoped for.... Nandos!!!!
We were taken to a "place of culture" whcih turned out to be a theater but was amazing, and the KL tower where there were a group of monkeys either having a scrap or some monkey loving we couldn't be too sure but have tried to get some photos of it.
We then went to China Town and through the cental market. I really don't think I have seen so many fakes all in one place before - nearly bough some lexi jeans or sume cucci sunglassess :)
We then got caught in the most torrential thunderstorm last night. i think monsoon season is picking up pace here as we had had a thunderstorm the night before. We were out in shorts and flip flops and just had to make a run for it. I have to say seeing the thunder and lighning whilst we were on the monorail was pretty amazing!!
I feel the monorail should get its own little section, cause frankly how can you not love a city with a monorail?!
We're heading off to Singapore tonight on the over night train to save some accomodation costs. We only have about half a day there and then flying out tomorrow night to Cairns which we are both really looking forward to!!!!
Hope you are all doin ok
Missing everyone lots but time is passing really quickly, we can't believe we have allr eady been here for 2 weeks!! Wanted to say communal thanks to everyone for your messages - I always love coming on here to read them all!!!
Love to everyone xxx
