Broome, Western Australia

Today I woke up at 7am after getting to bed at 3am from the beach from our big night out with a nasty surprise. Someone has knicked my handbag from my tent. I have lost everything my purse, my mobile and worse of all my camera.

I retraced my steps to the beach and the toilet to check if it there and it is not!!! However I meet a girl in the toilet who told me that her friends bag has also been stolen from the car they were stayin in at the camp site. To my horror I see the car is situated 100 metres from my tent so I am starting to fear the worse.

I had tyo make the dreaded call to ma and pa and Scott to get hold of my bank's emergency numbers to start cancelling the cards. I managed to cancel the 2 cards I do not need in Oz and also got through to my travel insurance

Chappy, my tour guide, then takes me to the police station so I can get a police report for the insurance company. The police have some very good news for me , they caught some people on foot last night with hand bags and mine was in this. So I am very lucky as I get everything back bar the cash in my wallet.

Chappy and Rach (other tour guide) take me out for lunch to celebrate our crazy morning!!! And to also ease our hangovers as we were the last into bed this morning!!!!

Oh yes, what else happened today , Rach, Kirsty, Meryl and Richard left the tour today, which was sad but we have a new girl called Reg joining us to Perth. She is 25 from the Zurich area. She is travelling for 2 months and has already been to Brazil and N Zealand and is an ex nursey teacher

I cannot believe how many Swiss are in Oz as I seem to have met so many on my travels here.

After my lunch I had the afternoon free so I went for a run and did my laundry

In the evening we went to Cable beach for a bbq before having an early night to catch up on the sleep I had lost the night before
