Had a bit of a sleepless night as I knew I had to get up at 6am to meet the adventure tour driver to explain the situation regarding the luggage.
I also did not have an alarm clock as my mobile was on low battery and I did not want to waste it as I was expecting a call from Virgin Blue regarding my luggage.
Anyway, I met the driver and explained the situation and he agreed that the best thing was to change the date of my tour to sunday (the next dep date).
I then went back to bed for an hour and then called the booking office at 7am and got booked on the tour.
I then further slept until check out time (10am). I popped to reception and chenged my accomodation dates with the hostel from 2 nights after the tour to 2 nights before the tour.
I then walked into town to get some food supplies and on my return had a call from Virgin Blue saying that my luggage is on the way to the hostel - big relief!!!
After a shower, I then headed towards the harbour. I booked myself on a harbour cruise as it was a lovely day and also a 90 min city tour.
The tour took me to the highlights of Hobart including the Botanic Gardens, Battery Point, Sandy Bay, the casino, Elizabeth Mall, Cascade Brewery, Female Factory, National Theatre and the casino.
