Popped into Birmingham Bullring today to look for a dress for RB's wedding - but seem to have missed the boat for nice floaty summer dresses - will be spring of course in Sydney in October. Got drawn into looking at outdoor clothes which I find much more interesting. Found a fab fleece jacket - Brokeback Mountain style (has anyone seen that film, CT & I have seen it twice and have never quite caught any of the dialogue, Heath Ledger seems to mumble his way through the entire film, we even tried it with subtitles the 2nd time). Anyway tried the barginning ploy recommended in the magazines, ie not sure about the jacket & it doesn't fit me anyway, will you knock some more money off the sale price. But was talking to some junior member of staff who only knew one answer to that question. However the whole thought of buying this jacket has prompted investigation into exactly how cold it will be at night sitting outside the tent, stocking the proverbial fire. Flagstaff will be abour 16 'c at night whereas Yellowstone goes down as far as 4'c. May just have to pop back into town after all.
Have succeeded in count down curry number 2, one more to go!
