Thanks to my friends in Reading and at work we have made it to our final but one destination before we actually depart. Today was Grans funneral, which was more emotional than I thought. As we stood outside the chapel after the service, the whole family was crying. Gran was such a great person. She had written 2 letters one to mom & one to David, telling them how wonderful she thought they were, and about how she felt. She was never conservative and thought our trip was going to be a great adventure.
The reality is starting to hit home for me now as I have no further work to do, just time to get ready over the next few days. Sort out the pile of clothes, sleepingbags, toys etc etc that are now lying in moms hall! We need to at least half it and decide exactly what we are going to take. The flippers and dressing gowns may yet have to come out!
