Haere mai. Welcome to my site.
The journal from my '06/'07 round-the-world journey is alive and kicking ... occasionally. Very occasionally.
"Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us, to Him be glory..." (Ephesians 3:20-21 NKJV)

You know you're in Africa when...
... there are more passengers than seats on your plane.
Three days and too many flights to count later, we're in Bukoba and the journey has already been worth it. Ugali, exquisite hairdos, beautiful dresses, 3-hour long church services, beautiful smiles, matoke, flight cancellation, beautiful kiddies, rag-and-rope soccer balls, sugar on the cane, beautiful people ... undeniably Africa.
Tomorrow we're diving into the projects, with an HIV/AIDs and child-headed household one first up. It's going to be full on, no doubt about that.
Watch this space.
